The ball weight is very heavy and had to reinforce in attic to make sure it didn't pull down through ceiling. Love the looks of it!

I love the way this lamp looks over my pool table. I got tons of comments on how cool it looks. I’m not going to lie putting this up by myself was the hardest fixture I ever installed. That cannonball is freakishly heavy and awkward. I suggest you get a strong helper or a ladder high enough to rest that counterweight on. It’s worth the hassle.

I read the "bad" reviews about this, and some of the complaints seem unjustified. For those who complained that the mounting plate bent or was weak - I'll bet you didn't attach it to the ceiling with anchors as recommended! Others complained about the rope kinking and the fixture not hanging straight - I think gravity takes care of those problems in a week or so. I think it looks great, and it's working well for me!
