these fit perfectly in my narrow stairwell and provide a good amount of light. What I like best about them is you can hang them either up or down and they are positioned very close to the wall so they don't infringe on your space as you use the staircase. Love them.

The lamp is OK but it has it's problem. The flange is not a standard size, it does not fit the wall electrical box. The screws don't match the holes. I had to mount the lamp on a piece of rounded wood to be able to screw it to the electrical box.
I gave it our stars because:
1- I was able to use it after a few modifications.
2- The seller was very responsive to my concerns.
