This is a very "warm" light. Don't expect to have a bright light to study under. But if you want the warm feel of a candle glow in your room (which is my personal taste) then you will like this ambiance.

I liked these. Both bulbs lit up nicely. The LEDs were closely spaced and the light was blurred nicely so it did approximate a flame. They weren't very bright, but perhaps the equivalent of something like a 40W (or less) incandescent bulb. If one turns the light switch off and on, the bulbs cycle from flickering flame to steadily lit to slowly pulsing dim/bright.
My two-pack arrived as two boxes each with one bulb and, sadly, both bulbs had a defect: one had a loose piece rattling inside, and the other had a broken-off part rattling around even louder inside, which made me concerned about their quality and potential lifespan - thus the 4 stars instead of 5.
My only bad experience with this purchase was with Amazon itself. The Amazon website said items could be exchanged, but when I tried to initiate an exchange to get these bulbs swapped for undamaged ones, the website didn't allow it. I telephoned customer service and the representative told me that exchange is not an option and these items can only be returned and then repurchased at the current price (which, in my case meant paying $16.99 to replace what cost $14.99 when I bought them last week). Since I felt that unfair, I chose to return them for a refund and now don't even get to have the nice bulbs. Too bad, that.
