A lot of lamps of similar design had poor reviews describing thin stamped metals, chipping paint, rust, or other things that would not be ideal for a lighting fixture. Don't let the terribly photoshopped images fool you -- this is a very heavy, well-made product (as it should be, considering the price.) Paint coverage is great, the light output is very good as well. I am very happy with this purchase.
